Dennis J. Dureno, CPIM, CIRM, CSCP

Dennis J. Dureno has over 40 years operations and consulting experience, and has been involved in more than 150 ERP/WMS software requirements and selection projects.  He has a proven track record of helping manufacturing and distribution companies improve their business processes and performance through the implementation of process improvements, ERP/SCM Education, Operational Performance Assessments, Team Building Workshops, and ERP & WMS initiatives.

Dennis has spent his career working for GE, FMC, Expert Buying Systems, Whittman-Hart, marchFIRST, and Buker, Inc. in both the US and Canada. He has held such positions as Manufacturing Engineer, Corporate Purchasing Manager, Corporate Materials Manager, VP Logistics and Materials, Materials Manager, Director of Materials, Manager Methods and Work Measurements, Manager Tool Manufacturing, and Senior Consultant.  He is experienced in various industries such as major appliances, transportation equipment, motors & generators, computers, aerospace & defense, chemicals, consumer products, and capital equipment.

Dennis earned a BSEE at Lawrence Technological University and a MBA from Gannon University. He graduated from the Manufacturing Management Program at GE, completed the Manufacturing Executive Program at University of Michigan, and has completed the Demand Flow Technology Business Strategy Workshop presented by JCIT. He is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Integrated Resource Management (CIRM), and is a certified Lean Practitioner.

Dennis has published articles on materials and purchasing management, made numerous presentations at APICS, IIE, and Institute for Supply Management regional and International meetings. participated in question-writing workshops for APICS CIRM exams, and participates in Materials Management book reviews for APICS. Additionally, he has given numerous presentations to User Group meetings held by software companies, and he is an adjunct instructor at Governors State University.
